The deal is done. KRC Genk has strengthened with a fourth summer transfer. South Korean Hyeon-gyu Oh signs a four-season contract at the Cegeka Arena. The 23-year-old Oh, who has long topped the Genk scouting cell's wish list, makes the move from Scottish national champions Celtic FC. There, he managed to hit six goals last season.

"Hyeon-gyu is a striker with a nose for goals who is not afraid to make dirty metres as well. He is a nimble player who also offers a solid presence in the box thanks to his stature," Head of Football Dimitri de Condé explains the choice of the new Genk striker.

Ready to rock

"KRC Genk is a team that has a lot of experience in training young players. When the interest became concrete, my choice was immediately clear. I can't wait to show myself," echoed the likeable South Korean himself.

To the appropriate tones of Bro Hymn by Pennywise - a classic at the Cegeka Arena - he added a clear "I'm ready to rock" in the announcement on the various KRC Genk club channels.
