For the next three seasons, Wilms, specialist in roller shutters, awnings and ventilation, will appear on the KRC Genk shirt. As back sponsor, the logo of the Kempen family business will regularly be caught in a glance with Tolu's number 99 or the now iconic number 8 of our captain Bryan Heynen.

For six years now, the Kempen family business has been the proud main sponsor of the KRC Genk ladies. Through that support, Wilms was one of the driving forces behind the rise of Genk women's football. With that successful partnership, the idea of going a step further and entering men's football as well grew.

Out of the shadow of the Genk terrils

Wilms is historically strongly rooted in Limburg. Thanks to this collaboration with the pride of Limburg, the Kempen family business aims to further strengthen that strong market position.

"This is just a wonderful story," Erik Wilms echoes full of ambition. "As a family business, we are experts in creating shade. By linking our name to a strong brand like KRC Genk, we can further strengthen our brand awareness in Limburg and together step further out of the shadow cast by the Genk Terrils over the Cegeka Arena. At KRC Genk, we enter an impressive business community that can offer us valuable contacts and interesting insights from fellow entrepreneurs and from thousands of supporters."

Business community

"Season after season, the KRC Genk business community is becoming a bigger concept in entrepreneurial Limburg," echoes Director of Business Development at KRC Genk, Sem Franssen, proudly. "With Wilms, we add another valuable partner to that. After a successful collaboration with the KRC Genk Ladies, we also want to reach high peaks together over the next three seasons. Let's rise above. Together."

About Wilms NV

Wilms started manufacturing high-quality roller shutters in 1975. Since then, the company has grown to become the largest roller shutter manufacturer in the Benelux and the specialist of 'hidden' awnings. Meanwhile, the company, based in Meerhout, diversified its offering with high-quality ventilation systems based on heat recovery.

Wilms has 200 employees, a fifth of whom are ladies working in both administration and production. Within the company, Wilms Female was founded, a working group for and by ladies, which is given its own time and financial budget to develop all kinds of social activities. The family business has a low staff turnover and attaches enormous importance to corporate social responsibility and employee welfare.
